Work Drugs traveled to a small cabin in a densely wooded area of The Poconos to find inspiration for the Bon Iver remix challenge. Using a 10 year old Packard Bell found along the roadside, Work Drugs crafted the “Beth / Rest” remix with an outdated version of Windows Sound Recorder. This remix is dedicated to Peter Cetera.

Haze-pop auteur Benoît Pioulard and post-minimalist composer Rafael Anton Irisarri (The Sight Below) have joined forces under the name Orcas to release their debut album with Morr Music, due out on April 24. Depicted as “haunting and beautiful” by Portland Mercury, the self-titled LP bridges together the furthest aspects of the duo’s previous solo work that’s been published on Kranky, Touch, Miasmah, Room40, and Ghostly International. Listen to Orcas’ first single “Carrion” and its cover of Broadcast’s “Until Then,” commemorating the late singer Trish Keenan.
